  3. Drink less milk. American scientist Robert Grey came to the conclusion that milk tends to detain food in a digestive tract. Milk forms a slime that sticks to walls of intestine, as a result, food substances stay too long there.
  4. Eat healthy foods: fresh fruits and vegetables, seafood and legumes. Learn the recipe for longevity which reduces risk of heart disease.
  5. Limit starch (like bread etc) intake - especially if you are overweight or tend to pick up weight easily.

  6. Chew your food well, do not drink liquids at mealtime but ensure adequate water intake during the day, leave the table feeling slight hunger, don’t eat after 7 PM (except for fruits), stick to regular meal times, do not snack in between.

  7. Regular exercise and keep physically active. Physical exercises will strengthen your health. Regular stretching or yoga is helpful in keeping joints and ligaments supple. Devote at least 30 minutes of your precious time to daily morning exercise and you will live longer. Fast walking and swimming are linked to longevity, too. They are brisk and gentle. Remember that harmony and balance in the body are the keys to health and longevity!

  8. Reduce consumption of foods cooked at high temperature. If frying twice, use fresh oil each time; do not use the same oil over again.

  9. Drink non-carbonated mineral water or cooled boiled water (you can replace drinking water with tea made of dog rose), herbal teas (avoid excessive use). Water helps the waste system operate, flushing toxins from your body.

  10. Try to have a balance of protein, fat, and carbohydrate. Avoid extreme diets. Frequent, small meals are preferable to large meals. Try to have more protein during the day. Switch to slightly more complex carbs in the evening.

  11. Avoid smoking cigarettes. Smokers die ten years younger on average than non-smokers.
Note: California scientists have discovered that nornicotine (a byproduct of nicotine) the substance that makes cigarettes addictive, causes a type of chemical reaction in the body similar to that which occurs when sugar is scorched or food goes bad. This reaction is thought to play a role in diabetes, cancer and other diseases.

  12. Have strong connections to others, whether through family, marriage, friends, colleagues..., or connecting with nature. It is considered that having a strong network of friends helps people live longer.

  14. Keep your mind young and active by learning. Train your brain regularly. Memory experts recommend using as many of your senses as possible when you are learning new information.

  15. Get enough fresh air. Normally when a person breathes fresh air into the lungs, the oxygen in the air binds with a molecule called hemoglobin (Hb) that is found in red blood cells. This allows oxygen to be moved from the lungs to every part of the body. When the oxygen/hemoglobin complex reaches a muscle where it is needed, the oxygen is released. Try to surround yourself with nature. It is linked to longevity.
